Secure Bitcoin Self-Custody Setup
Learn how to securely self-custody your Bitcoin yourself — without depending on banks or third-party providers.
Why true self-custody matters
Most people who buy Bitcoin keep it on exchanges or in “custodial wallets”. It’s convenient — but it’s not your Bitcoin. True self-custody means: You control the private keys yourself. Only then are you the real owner.
What we do together in a personal session
- Together we choose the right hardware wallet — you order it directly from the manufacturer (no used devices)
- Once it arrives, we schedule an in-person session (approx. 3.5–4.5 hours)
- Initialize the wallet and generate a secure seed phrase
- Set up an optional passphrase and solid backup strategy
- Practice your first transactions
- Create a metal backup (optional) and rehearse the recovery process
- Discuss whether you need any ongoing support
What you’ll have afterwards
You leave with a fully working, documented setup and the confidence that you control your Bitcoin yourself. I’ll provide a clear checklist so you can manage everything independently going forward.
Who this is for
Ideal for anyone holding 0.5 BTC or more who wants to store it securely for the long term — without having to become a technical expert. I explain everything in clear language (German, English or Russian) and adjust the pace to your level of experience.
